The present invention relates to a method for fabricating an organic-inorganic porous separation membrane for a rechargeable battery and the organic-inorganic porous separation membrane fabricated by the method. Provided is an organic-inorganic porous separation membrane prepared by elongating a complex including an active layer acquired by coating unelongated polyolefin porous base and a surface of the base with an organic-inorganic binder polymer mixture, which is obtained by reforming an active site of inorganic particles into fatty acid of C_6-C_36 or oxidized wax. The porous separation membrane according to the present invention represents a superior adhesive strength with the base when comparing with a conventional separation membrane. In addition, since an additional elongation process is not needed to be performed with respect to a polyolefin base, the process efficiency can be increased. The process is simplified, so that the failure rate of the polyolefin base is reduced. In addition, superior ion conductivity, and a high battery capacity retention rate can be obtained. |
