The present disclosure is related to a method for executing a menu in a mobile terminal, the method comprising: displaying a data in a display unit of the mobile terminal; selecting at least a portion of the data which is displayed on the display unit through a user input unit; searching whether a data included in a first category data exists in the selected portion of the data; and setting up a first category execution item which is related to the first category data, if the first category data is searched in the selected portion of the data, and a mobile terminal using the same.
