The present invention relates an optical cable connection box mutually connecting optical cables or branching optical cables. The optical cable connection box includes: a lower body having an inlet into which an optical cable is introduced; an upper body coupled to the top of the lower body; a border gasket inserted into an insertion groove formed along a facing edge area of the lower body and the upper body; a packing member formed of a stretchable material, which is formed to be communicated with the inlet of the lower body and inserted into a mounting groove having a width extending greater than the inlet and where a relay insertion groove introduced downwardly to allow the border gasket to be inserted is formed at the top surface and a through hole formed at one side exposed to the outside through the inlet to allow an optical cable to be inserted through an optical cable; an insertion portion inserted to a coupling groove formed at one side of the packing member to be introduced in a direction facing the other side of the packing member; a press guide member having an interference guide portion extending to protrude toward the outside of the other side of the packing member from the insertion portion; and a press part sealing an optical cable inserted into the through hole in an adhesive state by the contraction of the through hole of the packing member as the exposed interference guide portion of the press guide member is interfered downward to the lower body. Through such an optical connection box, a press guide member inserted into a packing member formed of a stretchable material is coupled downwardly to the lower body in a pressurized state, so that the contraction power on an optical cable is applied more strongly. The sealing power can be increased. |
