A method which comprising: receiving availability information for one or more users from one or more devices associated with the one or more users; identifying, based at least on a portion of the received availability information, an availability overlap between a first user and a second user wherein the first and second users have identified each other as desired communication contacts; initiating establishment of a first connection to a device of the first user; initiating establishment of a second connection to a device of the second user; initiating establishment of a conference connection including the first and second connections. It allows connections to be spontaneously established among user devices, and consequently their corresponding users, with minimal user effort, without the need for advanced scheduling, at all times of the day, for appropriate durations, and with conversation guidance. Connection establishment can include, for example, automatically opening or engaging a physical or logical communication channel between a terminal of a comms system and at least one other component or at least one other terminal of the comms system. |
