PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform signal processing which is effective for dynamic weight measurement of articles to be successively conveyed on a conveyance line. SOLUTION: A measurement signal of an article from a measurement part 2 is A/D converted by an A/D conversion part 3, and shifted to positive data as a whole and normalized by a data normalization processing part 4. A logarithmic transformation part 5 subjects the normalized data to logarithmic transformation, and quantizes the logarithmic value by the unit of accuracy as a measurement target. A PDF arithmetic part 6a calculates the probability density function of a prescribed measurement period of a histogram generated on a probability variable axis by using a discrete value of the amplitude of the quantized measurement signal as a probability variable. An APD arithmetic part 6b calculates a cumulative probability distribution by cumulatively adding probability density functions. An estimation value calculation part 7 calculates an intermediate value between the lower limit value and the upper limit value of probability variables in which the calculated probability density function exists or an expectation value of the probability variable as an estimation value of the weight value of an article.
