Class 98(1) A photographic shutter has shutterspeed and diaphragm setting members with means for disengageably coupling them for movement together, and separate means for temporarily uncoupling the setting members. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, a resilient arm 4 mounted on the shutter-speed setting member has a tooth 5 engaging an arcuate rack 3 formed on the diaphragm adjusting member 2. A knob 6 is slidably mounted in a flange 20 to move the arm 4 to disengage it from rack 3. Modifications are described in which the knob 6 is replaced by a crank knob, a sliding cam, a rotatable cam or a pivoted lever.</p> |
