摘要 Disclosed are a determining apparatus for short circuit withstanding capacity of a 22.9 kV superconducting cable and a determining method thereof. The determining apparatus for short circuit withstanding capacity of the 22.9 kV superconducting cable according to the present invention comprises a short circuit energy calculating unit to calculate the short circuit energy by level of a root mean square (RMS) fault current in consideration of actual system conditions; a maximum short circuit energy determining unit to select the maximum short circuit energy primarily based on the short circuit energy by level of the RMS fault current calculated by the short circuit energy calculating unit and to determine the maximum short circuit energy based on an instantaneous value fault current; and a short circuit withstanding capacity determining unit for determining the short circuit withstanding capacity of the 22.9 kV superconducting cable based on the determined maximum short circuit energy determined by the maximum short circuit energy determining unit.
