An insole for rubber boots comprises rubber material 1 consisting of rubber with textile fibres vulcanized to a shank piece'2 of a suitable wood veneer with its grain extending longitudinally. A second veneer 3 may be provided covering the whole sole or only the shank, but having a transverse grain. Either or both veneers may be embedded in the rubber. The attachment by vulcanization of the rubber material and veneer may take place in a press mould which also shapes the insole. |
