The invention includes a collar nut G and hexagonal headed bolt F for attaching with a scaffolding clamp (Fig 12) in order to assemble a scaffolding coupler without having an exposed threaded portion. The bolt F is characterised by a threaded portion C, including a 1mm cut D at the end of the tail end of the bolt. When the cut engages with the collar nut the bolt thread is disrupted (E, Fig 4), and the bolt is prevented from exiting the collar nut. The hexagonal head presented by the arrangement upon the clamp reduces the risk of snagging and injury that is posed by a conventional arrangement in which the threaded bolt tail is left exposed. Also described is an arrangement including T-bar bolt with the slot in the threaded tail (J, Fig 10), which may engage with a hexagonal headed long nut (H, Fig 7), as shown in Figures 7-10. |
