Method of manufacturing a synchronizing ring

The method involves transforming an annular slug (4) in forging die for forming spline to synchronizer portion (6). The teeth (8) of spline are forged with air passage along axial tooth length and outer diameter of synchronizer with specific dimension is forged. The synchronizer portion is formed in sizing die, such that tooth length of spline is tossed and outer diameter of synchronizer is calibrated by expanding the synchronizer upto finished size.
