摘要 PURPOSE: A float bath chiller for a glass plate manufacturing system and a method thereof are provided to eliminate the need for facilities for external air heating and reduce the related costs by recirculating air by a cooling module. CONSTITUTION: A float bath chiller(100) for a glass plate manufacturing system comprises a float bath(120), a cooling module(130) and a recirculation channel(140). The float bath molds molten glass, provided on a movable molten metal, into a plate glass. The cooling module provides cold air at a predetermined temperature to the lower surface of the float bath floor. The recirculation course cools the lower surface of the float bath, and air heated in this process is recirculated by the cooling module. A float bath cooling method of the glass plate manufacturing system comprises the following steps: providing the cold air at a predetermined temperature to the lower surface of the float bath floor using the cooling module; and cooling the lower surface of the float bath by using the recirculation course and recirculating the air heated therein by the cooling module.
