The present invention relates to a method for managing a passcode and a device thereof capable of safely protecting personal data of a user. The device for managing the passcode comprises one or more processors; a memory; and one or more programs which are stored in the memory and are executed by the processors. The program comprises a storage module which stores passcode management data; an input window module which displays an input window in which a plurality of key buttons are arranged; a combined code generating module which confirms a code which corresponds to each inputted key button in a code table included in the passcode management data and generates a combined code in which each of the confirmed codes is combined; and a passcode obtaining module which receives the passcode in which a storage address is set based on the combined code from a passcode storage server.
