PURPOSE: A biomarker for reducing or alleviating symptoms of brain injury is provided to effectively monitor the reduction or the alleviation of the symptoms by administering erythropoietin and umbilical cord blood. CONSTITUTION: A kit for monitoring or analyzing prognosis on the reduction or alleviation of brain injury contains: a binder which specifically binds to a protein of sequence number 1; and a primer or a probe which specifically binds to a polynucleotide of sequence number 2. A method for detecting the marker comprises the step of detecting the expression of the nucleotide of sequence number 2 in a biological sample from human.
