The present invention relates to an apparatus for initially booting a display device of construction equipment and a method thereof. The present invention includes: a step of installing a pressure sensor in a suspension of working chair in a cabin of the construction equipment; a step of completing an initial routine (or an preliminary booting process) to boot the system and display device of the construction equipment by entering into a ″warm booting mode″ when the pressure sensor detects that a user is seated on the chair; and a step of completing the system booting as the power is supplied to a backlight of the display device when the user performs Key-On operation of an ignition key of the construction equipment. Therefore, the user does not need to wait for the system booting and initial routine as the initial routine of the system booting is completed in advance when the user sits on the working chair, therefore, the present invention can increase the productivity of work and also improve the fuel efficiency of a vehicle.
