The tube has a cross-section that includes an interior contour with a gap therein. The gap extends at least partially along a length of the tube. The tube is configured to convey liquid to the well of the microplate when the tube is held in a dispensing orientation.

A fluidic device for conveying liquid to a well of a microplate, the device comprising: a support structure configured to be mounted along the microplate; and a microfluidic tube coupled to the support structure, the tube having an inlet, an outlet, and an elongated open-sided channel that extends longitudinally between the inlet and the outlet, the tube having a cross-section that includes an interior contour with a gap therein, the gap extending at least partially along a length of the tube, the tube being configured to convey the liquid to the well of the microplate when the tube is held in a dispensing orientation, the tube being shaped to flow the liquid longitudinally along the channel from the inlet toward the outlet; wherein the tube includes an outlet portion having the outlet of the tube and an inlet portion having the inlet of the tube, the channel along the outlet portion being shaped to reduce the flow of the liquid relative to the flow of the liquid through the channel along the inlet portion.
