Class 132(2) A handle for a cricket bat, hockey stick, tennis racket, or similar striking appliances for games is made of three cane &c. laminae A, B, A, the outer and inner laminae being separated by lengths C, D of veneer, cork or similar material, to give substantially non-flexible areas of junction, while the space E between the lengths of veneer is filled by rubber or other resilient material to give resiliently flexible areas of junction. The central laminae B is recessed to at least twice the thickness of the veneer strips to take a layer F of rubber which extends down the handle such a length as to overlap the outer rubber fillings E.</p> |
