The present invention relates to a device capable of automatically measuring a temperature of coil at a predetermined period of time from a point when a coil arrives at a cooling yard and transmitting the measured data to a control room. The provided device includes a coil stand for placing a coil and an instrument for measuring the temperature of the coil by coming in contact with the coil when placing the coil. The instrument for measuring the temperature of the coil includes a trigger unit positioned on a coil placing passage before the coil is placed, and moving from a first position to a second position by the coil when the coil is placed; and a temperature measuring unit connected to the trigger unit and coming in contact with the coil when the coil is located on the second position.
