The present invention relates to a safety device for a curtain operating string which melts and cuts an operating string by heat from an electric heater when a load heavier than or equal to a predetermined load is applied on the curtain operating string, thereby preventing an accident, such as asphyxia due to an operating string wound around the neck of a child, in advance. The present invention comprises an operating string (12) for adjusting the opening and closing degree of a curtain and a weight (1) installed on the operating string. A switch (30) for detecting a load heavier than or equal to a predetermined load is installed on the weight (1). An electric heater (6), which receives power by the operation of the switch (30) and generates heat, is installed on a moving path of the operating string (12). When an overload is applied on the operating string, a warning device for informing dangerous situations generates an alarm, and then the electric heater generates heat to cut the operating string. Therefore, the present invention allows a user to actively and aggressively handle an accident. |
