<p>The present invention relates to a display device. An objective of the present invention is to provide a display device, capable of determining a normal touch by analyzing a sensing signal received from a touch panel not to perform a procedure of extracting the coordinates of the touch in the case of an abnormal touch, and a driving method thereof. To this end, a method for driving the display device according to the present invention includes the steps of: receiving sensing signals from touch electrodes of the touch panel; determining a normal touch status using the size of a touch area defined by the received sensing signals; and performing the procedure of extracting the coordinates of the touch in the touch area defined by the sensing signals in the case of the normal touch and receiving the sensing signals without the procedure of extracting the touch coordinates in the case of the abnormal touch.</p> |
