The image processor has an enlarged image generation device generating an enlarged image of each of the plurality of enlargement areas based on the positional information stored in the storage device, and an enlargement display device displaying the plurality of enlarged images on the display device.

An imaging apparatus comprising: an imaging lens forming an optical image of a subject; an image pickup device outputting an image signal according to the optical image of the subject formed by the imaging lens; a display device displaying a subject image according to the image signal; and an image processor converting the image signal to data in an image data format to be displayed on the display device; wherein the image processor has an enlarged image generation device generating an enlarged image of each of plurality of enlargement areas based on plurality of pieces of positional information stored in a storage device; an enlargement display device displaying the plurality of enlarged images on the display device; a setting screen display device displaying on the display device an enlargement display position setting screen for setting a plurality of pieces of positional information specifying areas to be enlarged of image areas included in the subject image; and an operation device to be operated when the enlargement display position setting screen is displayed on the display device, wherein the positional information is determined in accordance with an operation of the operation device when the enlargement display position setting screen is displayed on the display device and is stored in a storage device.
