The present invention relates to a resonator made of a composite material, and to a communication device comprising same. The communication device includes a filter, a duplexer, a diplexer and the like which are used in a mobile communication system. The resonator made of a composite material includes a disk member, a support member and a dielectric member. The dielectric member, which is formed to correspond to the height of the support member, has a through-hole for inserting of the support member in the lengthwise direction, and has a predetermined thickness in an outward direction of the diameter so as to cover the outer surface of the support member. The thickness of the dielectric member may vary depending on permittivity. According to the present invention, the size of the resonator can be significantly reduced for the characteristics of resonant frequency such as Q value and the Q value can be improved even when the resonator has the same size by the dielectric member, thus improving insertion loss. |
