PURPOSE: A primer set for determining white rice and colored rice is provided to determine homo/hetero type of characteristics and to enhance breeding efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A primer set for determining white rice and colored rice containing proanthocyanidin-based pigment comprises: an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 1 and 2; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 3 and 4; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 5 and 6; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 7 and 4; and an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 8 and 6. A kit for determining the seed coat color of white rice and colored rice contains the primer set and reagent. |
