The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing boron nitride by adding a sintering aid. The manufacturing method of the boron nitride sintered body according to the present invention comprises: a step of preparing a mold for hot press sintering forming a hollow core by combining more than two of mold pieces; a step of removing a boric oxide (B_2O_3) from more than 95% pure boron nitride powder base material which includes the boric oxide (B_2O_3); a step of preparing boron nitride powder including sintering aid in the boron nitride powder base material; a step of manufacturing a presintered body by pressurizing the boron nitride powder; and a step of manufacturing sintered body through hot press sintering process by inserting the presintered body into the hollow core of the mold. According to the present invention, 1-5 wt% of the sintering aid is added as an optimum ratio base on 100 wt% of boron nitride powder which contains the boron nitride powder base material and the sintering aid. In the hot press sintering process manufacturing the boron nitride sintered body, the high strength boron nitride sintered body having a high density of 1.6 g/cm^3 to 2.0 g/cm^3 and more than 34 MPa of high strength is manufactured through an optimum condition of sintering temperature, sintering pressure, sintering heating speed and sintering maintenance time.
