The present invention relates to a method for producing carbon monoxide using an exhaust gas and a method for utilizing the same. More specifically, provided are: a method for producing carbon monoxide using an exhaust gas comprising a step of obtaining carbon monoxide by reacting a high temperature exhaust gas including carbon dioxide with a carbon source and using the Boudouard reaction represented by Formula (1); and a method for utilizing the carbon monoxide obtained from an exhaust gas comprising a step of using the carbon monoxide obtained therefrom as a fuel for a heating process. Formula (1) By means of the present invention, carbon dioxide in a high temperature exhaust gas, especially in an exhaust gas of a glass melting furnace is used so that heat energy can be reduced when carbon monoxide is produced and the temperature of the high temperature exhaust gas is reduced as a result of the Boudouard reaction. Accordingly, the heat load of a post-process can be decreased, and an additional device such as an air cooling system for cooling a high temperature exhaust gas is not needed, so that energy can be saved and costs for installation and operation can be reduced. |
