The present invention relates to a fringe field switching (FFS) liquid crystal display capable of preventing disclination and mitigating white mura. The liquid crystal display according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a thin film transistor formed in a pixel area defined by a gate line and a data line crossing each other; a lower electrode formed in connection with a drain of the thin film transistor to supply data voltage to a light transmission area; and an upper electrode patterned with a plurality of electrode patterns and overlapped with the lower electrode while a protective layer is interposed between the lower and upper electrodes. The upper electrode is obliquely formed by being bent at a predetermined angle in an area adjacent to the gate line.
