The present invention provides an instrument landing system comprising a signal amplifier for transmitting a signal including an RF signal; a main control device for controlling the entire system based on user commands; and one or more signal amplifier control devices for controlling the signal amplifier in response to the command from the main control device in an active status, for reporting information on the status of the signal amplifier regularly to the main control device, for converting the status to a stand by status when the system detects that a failure has occurred in communication with the main control unit, and for stopping the operation of the signal amplifier.
