The present invention provides an apparatus for producing a synthetic natural gas including a methane synthesis reactor that has a methane synthesis reaction catalyst, is supplied with a synthetic gas containing H2, CO, and CO2, and discharges a methane-containing gas produced by a methane synthesis reaction; and a C2 to C5 hydrocarbon compound synthesis reactor that has a C2 to C5 hydrocarbon compound synthesis catalyst in which Co and Mn are carried in a faujasite-type zeolite, is supplied with the methane-containing gas, and discharges a C2 to C5 hydrocarbon compound-containing gas produced by a Fischer-Tropsch reaction, and a method for producing a synthetic natural gas including a methane synthesis step for producing a methane-containing gas by using a synthetic gas containing H2, CO, and CO2 under a methane synthesis reaction catalyst; and a hydrocarbon compound synthesis step for producing a C2 to C5 hydrocarbon compound-containing gas by a Fischer-Tropsch reaction by using the methane-containing gas under a C2 to C5 hydrocarbon compound synthesis catalyst. When the apparatus and the method for producing a synthetic natural gas of the present invention are used, methane yield can be increased, and a high-calorific synthetic natural gas can be obtained by synthesizing not only methane but also a C2~C5 hydrocarbon compound in a synthetic natural gas production process, and thus an LPG mixing step for a higher calorific value can be omitted or the amount of mixed LPG can be reduced. |
