The present invention relates to a briquetting method of highly pure silica powder including a first step of manufacturing a silica powder having a particle size of 1 mm or less and a grade of 97% or more by conducting physical separation of grinding raw silica ore having a low grade and sorting the same; a second step of inserting the silica powder in a binder solution, stirring and heating; and a third step of removing a solution from the silica powder reacted with the binder and briquetting under high pressure. The silica powder having a particle size of 1 mm or less and a grade of 97% or more is agglomerated and used as a raw material of metal silicon. The briquetting of silica and silica sand including 3.0 wt% or less of Al2O3 as impurities is possible, and the briquette of silica may be manufactured by using caustic soda as a binder. In addition, an agglomeration having strength appropriate for being inserted into an electrical furnace is possible. The size of the agglomeration may be diverse according to the mold of a press. |
