<p>The present invention relates to an improvement of an ophthalmoscope and an improvement related to the ophthalmoscope. A method for determining a distortion correction in the eye representations of the ophthalmoscope according to the present invention includes the steps of: (i) constructing an optical description of a system including the ophthalmoscope and a model eye; (ii) emitting a ray to reach on the surface of the model eye via the system; (iii) calculating an actual measurement of the ray on the surface; (iv) determining a horizontal scanning angle and a vertical scanning angle of the system for the ray; (v) calculating an expected measurement of the ray on the surface by using the horizontal scanning angle and the vertical scanning angle of the system; (vi) repeating (ii) to (v) steps for a plurality of further rays; and (vii) comparing the actual measurements of the rays on the surface with the corresponding expected measurements of the rays on the surface to determine the distortion correction in the eye representations of the ophthalmoscope.</p> |
