The present invention provides an array substrate for a COT type liquid crystal display device including a gate wire and a data wire crossing each other on a substrate while being interposed between a gate insulation layer to define first to third pixel regions; a thin film transistor disposed on the first to third pixel regions and connected to the gate wire and the data wire; a first passivation layer to cover the thin film transistor; a color filter layer disposed on the first passivation layer and including red, green, and blue color filter patterns formed on the first to third pixel regions; a second passivation layer to cover the color filter layer; and a pixel electrode disposed on the second passivation layer and connected to a drain of the thin film transistor through a drain contact hole formed in the second passivation layer, the color filter layer, and the first passivation layer. The red color filter pattern includes first and second red pigments having different color coordinates. The green color filter pattern includes green and yellow pigments. The blue color filter pattern includes a blue pigment and a brown dye.
