PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a planting device with which: planting may be carried out with vapor without soil; planting may be carried out at seashore where it is difficult to ensure water source; and a healthy crop for human body may be provided.SOLUTION: A water flowing layer 13 capable of storing water is arranged below the bottom part of a container 12. A planting material 15 which is made of fibers in which planting gaps 14 where vapor may rise extend in vertical direction is inserted into an upper edge part of the container. A capillary phenomenon interrupting layer 16 in which vapor may be filled up is arranged between the planting material and the water flowing layer so as to cultivate crop with vapor. For the planting material, utilized is tufted fabric in which piles 37 having a total denier of 200 dtex or more and 15000 dtex or less, which is consisting of fine fibers having a single fiber denier of 50 dtex or less are planted on a base fabric 36. The tufted fabric is used in a manner where longitudinal direction of the base fabric 36 is directed in vertical direction and the base fabric and the base fabric are superposed so that they face each other. A planting gap between the base fabrics facing each other is defined as a planting part 28. |
