PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for inkjet recording capable of suppressing generation of blurs and aggregation unevenness, and to provide an inkjet recording method.SOLUTION: The ink composition contains a dye, an organic solvent and water, the organic solvent contains a first organic solvent satisfying (A) and a second organic solvent satisfying (B) or (C), a ratio between the content of the first organic solvent (S1) and the content of the second organic solvent (S2), (S1/S2) is 15.3 to 205. (A) a lump having mass of 70% or more based on the total mass of a mixture with polyvinyl alcohol is generated and a lump having mass of 90% or more is generated when load is applied to the lump, (B) the lump having mass of 70% or more based on the total mass of the mixture with polyvinyl alcohol is generated and a lump having mass of 90% or more is not generated when load is applied to the lump, (C) the lump having mass of 70% or more based on the total mass of the mixture with polyvinyl alcohol is not generated. |
