PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material powder for powder metallurgy that prevents stains, surface defects and decarbonization of a sintered body and can enhance the strength and density.SOLUTION: The raw material powder for powder metallurgy is used in the production of a sintered body by sintering at a temperature of not less than 500°C and is produced by mixing a metal powder and a lubricant. The lubricant is a melamine cyanurate or a terephthalic acid. Alternatively, the raw material powder for powder metallurgy is used in the production of a sintered body by sintering at a temperature of not less than 500°C and is produced by mixing a metal powder, a first lubricant and a second lubricant. The first lubricant is a melamine cyanurate or a terephthalic acid and the second lubricant is preferably an erucic acid amide or a stearic acid amide. |
