PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of reducing skew without damaging a sheet, with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A printer 1 supplying a sheet 4 along a transport path L, and carrying out printing on the sheet 4 at a predetermined print position P, comprises: a skew correction roller 23 provided upstream of the print position P in a supply direction, and capable of transporting the sheet 4 upward in the supply direction; and a stopper member 31 provided on the transmission path L upstream of the skew correction roller 23 in the supply direction. If the sheet 4 is transported from upward of the stopper member 31 to downward thereof in the supply direction, the stopper member 31 retreats from onto the transport path L. If the sheet 4 is located downstream of the stopper member 31 in the supply direction, the stopper member 31 returns to an original position on the transport path L. |
