<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch release mechanism that does not depend on the elasticity or flexibility of a catch for disengaging a data communication module from a cage and that has few movable components.SOLUTION: A latch release mechanism for disengaging a data communication module 102 from a cage 104 includes an actuator handle 128 and a T-shaped crank 130 connected with the handle at a wrist pivot axis and connected with a module housing 106 at a crank pivot axis. When a user pulls the actuator handle 128, it causes the actuator handle 128 to slide relative to the housing 106, the crank 130 to pivot to lift a pin 114, and the engagement with the cage 104 to be released.</p> |
