<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that stably conveys a recording medium with a hand-drum shape rotating body using a simple configuration, so as to suppress the occurrence of paper wrinkles without impairing mold releasability.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes an endless belt member, a heat source that is provided inside the belt member, a pressure roller that is brought into contact with the belt member to be rotated, and a stationary member that is fixed inside the belt member and provided to support the belt member from the inside to bring the belt member into pressure contact with the pressure roller; and performs heat and pressure processing at a pressure contact part between the pressure roller and the belt member to fix an unfixed toner image on a recording medium to the recording medium. The pressure roller has a hand-drum shape, and a plurality of pressure roller surface layers having different coefficients of friction; each of the plurality of pressure roller surface layers has the coefficient of friction higher than that of a belt member surface layer, and the pressure roller surface layer having the lower coefficient of friction of the plurality of pressure roller surface layers is made corresponding to a leading edge position of the recording medium.</p> |
