<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of maintaining the drive of an intermediate transfer body driven by an image carrier.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes control means for controlling image carrier driving means to measure the maximum speed and the minimum speed on the surface of a rotating image carrier, and make the measured maximum speed and minimum speed to be fallen within a predetermined range according to a target speed of the image carrier. In order to control the image carrier driving means by using a new torque command value determined from a torque command value corresponding to the maximum speed and a torque command value corresponding to the minimum speed, the control means stores the new torque command value in a storage unit.</p> |
