<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image formation for color shift correction enhanced in resistance against noise, while suppressing a detection error caused by an AC component.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor, process means acting on the photoreceptor, formation means for forming an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor, detection means for detecting the electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor by a current flowing in the process means, color shift correction means for forming a detection pattern including a plurality of latent image marks being electrostatic latent images for color shift correction on the photoreceptor and performing the color shift correction based on time information when the detection means detects each of the latent image marks of the detection pattern, and storage means for storing the weighting coefficient of each of the latent image marks of the detection pattern. The color shift correction means weights the time information when each of the latent image marks of the detection pattern is detected by a corresponding weighting coefficient, to perform the color shift correction.</p> |
