PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify the type of a function extension device, and to achieve the safe connection of the function extension device while using the slim line connector of SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment).SOLUTION: The electronic equipment includes: a function extension device having a first slim line connector specified by SATA; and terminal equipment having a second slim line connector specified by the SATA. A pin P1 and a pin S4 of the first slim line connector are connected, and the terminal equipment checks a first detection signal as the signal of a pin P1 of the second slim line connector and a second detection signal as the signal of a pin S1 of the second slim line connector, and determines the type of the function extension device on the basis of the first detection signal and the second detection signal. |
