PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear body that hardly loosens when an object is tightened with it, and to provide a shoe whose tightened state hardly loosens.SOLUTION: The linear body 1 includes: an elastic linear shaped body 2 having a through hole 3 in one end; and an engaging section 4 attached to the other end of the body 2 and configured to be engageable with the through hole 3. The body 2 extends along a longitudinal axis line L and is composed of a rubber material. The engaging section 4 is composed of a material that is harder than the body, e.g., a plastic material. The body 2 is provided with a hole 5 which is formed closer to one end of the body 2 than the engaging section 4 in the longitudinal direction of the body 2 and with a projected section 6 which is designed to be insertable into the hole 5 and which is prepared projectingly from one end of the body 2 in the extended direction of the longitudinal axis line L. |
