The engine (1) has a piston (3) arranged in a cylinder (2) along a running surface (21). A lubrication system (5) is provided for lubricating the cylinder and comprises two lubricating points (6). A lubricant is applied to the running surface via the points. A lubricant supply (8) conveys the lubricant from a lubricant reservoir (10) to the points. The lubricant supply exhibits a pump nozzle unit (7) that is arranged at the points. The nozzle unit comprises a pump (72) that is connected with the points, so that the nozzle unit supplies lubricant to the points.
