PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a vehicle, which can make external attack more difficult, the external attack bringing a driving object into a malfunctioned condition.SOLUTION: The driving device for a vehicle includes: a drum 11 which is rotationally driven with a driving source and over which a rope member connected to a driving object is trained; a support member 2 including a housing part 20 that has a bottom wall part 23 for covering an axial-direction one-side end surface 11b of the drum 11 and a peripheral wall part 21 erected on the bottom wall part 23 and covering a side surface 11a of the drum 11 and that rotatably houses the drum 11; and a lid member 30 that is attached to the support member 2 and covers an opening end of the housing part 20.
