PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accumulator capable of suppressing a manufacturing cost to a low level and smoothly keeping the operation of a character wheel.SOLUTION: The accumulator is configured such that both side walls of a frame 5 are supported by both end parts of a shaft 1, and the shaft 1 is inserted and arranged with a plurality of character wheels 2, while a pinion gear 4 is engaged and formed between the respective character wheels 2, and a locking member 7 regulating the free movement of the character wheel 2 toward the direction of the shaft 1 by press contacting each outside face of the least significant digit and the most significant digit of the character wheel 2 is provided on the shaft 1, and the character wheel 2 is made to perform a carrying operation to carry sequentially from the least significant digit to the most significant digit, and a small diameter axial part 1a is formed on the end part of the shaft 1 in order to perform positioning for the frame 5 by rolling, and furthermore, a small-diameter shaft part 1b for fitting the locking member 7 in order to set an assembling position of the character wheel 2 is formed by rolling, and the outer peripheral face of the shaft 1 located in the character wheel 2 at the least significant digit is coated with a quick-drying oil 8. |
