PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of maintaining the drive of an intermediate transfer body driven by an image carrier.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes control means capable of extracting an image carrier speed fluctuation component in a specific frequency component unique to an image carrier and an intermediate transfer body speed fluctuation component in a specific frequency component unique to an intermediate transfer body, and outputting a torque command value to image carrier driving means to control the torque generated by the image carrier driving means. The control means further controls the torque generated by the image carrier driving means so that a difference between the image carrier speed fluctuation component and the intermediate transfer body speed fluctuation component that are extracted by extraction means falls within a predetermined range. |
