PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing load and a memory consumption amount when a representative value of luminance is calculated in an imaging apparatus for calculating the representative value of the luminance in a target region being a target of geometrical conversion processing before the geometrical conversion processing is performed.SOLUTION: A target region setting section 200 sets a target region being a target of geometrical conversion processing from image data captured by an imaging section 100 and before conversion, which is the image data on which the geometrical conversion processing is performed by a conversion processing section 500. A calculation region setting section 311 sets a circumscribed rectangle in the target region which is set by the target region setting section 200 in the image data before conversion as a calculation region. A luminance calculation section 312 calculates a representative value of the luminance in the calculation region which is set by the calculation region setting section 311.
