PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the reduction in reliability of electric connection between a connection terminal and a sensor element while using the connection terminal comprising a single component in a gas sensor.SOLUTION: A gas sensor having a front end side exposed to a measurement object gas includes a main body fitting, a sensor element, a lead wire, and a connection terminal. The sensor element includes: a bottomed cylinder like-solid electrolyte having a cylinder hole on the rear end side and having a constricted part constricted toward the front end side; and an inside electrode formed on an inside surface of the solid electrolyte. The connection terminal includes a connection part which is a cylindrical connection part to be inserted into the cylinder hole and be brought into contact with the inside electrode and includes an opening having an open-ended ring shaped cross section and a rear surface part provided on the side opposite to the opening. The entire connection part is constricted like a taper inward in a radial direction on the front end side in an axial direction, and a holding part which is arranged on the front end side to hold the lead wire for electric continuity is connected to the front end of the rear surface part. |
