PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining of the cylindrical metallic pipes capable of highly accurately joining a pair of upper and lower cylindrical metallic pipes at a prescribed position in the circumferential and axial directions, and to provide a device therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for joining of the cylindrical metallic pipes comprising joining the joining parts of the upper and lower cylindrical metallic pipes arranged in a vertical state on a prescribed condition in the circumferential and axial directions. The positions of the lower and upper cylindrical metallic pipes in the circumferential and axial directions are decided by a positioning tool, respectively and after that, the lengths of both cylindrical metallic pipes are detected by a detector. In the case where the detection result by the detector is in the previously set reference range, the joining parts are induction-heated by a heating coil arranged around the joining parts to join both metallic pipes. |
