PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stable radio communication while using an antenna having a narrow directivity.SOLUTION: A stationary proximity wireless communication device includes: a radio wave transmission/reception unit, having a first index indicative of a region over which a mobile proximity wireless communication device is to be held, and an antenna disposed on the region for radiating a radio wave, having a directivity in a direction from a position deviating from an optimally recommended position in the region over which the mobile proximity wireless communication device is to be held, toward the recommended position; and a radio communication unit for modulating/demodulating the radio wave transmitted/received through the antenna.
