The invention relates to an oil conservator meant to stabilize the variation of the oil level and to reduce the surface in contact with air. According to the invention, the oil conservator comprises a parallelepipedal receiver () communicating with a transformer tank by means of pipe () whereon there is located a gas relay (), while it communicates with the terrestrial atmosphere by means of a filter (); the conservator has inside an oil bath () on whose surface there floats a swimmer () having a sealed area filled with air (), located between two compartments (); the first compartment () is placed above the oil level and comprises several bags () with low-porosity silica gel for absorbing the moisture of the air layer inside the conservator (), while the second compartment () submerged in the oil bath () comprises several bags () with highly porous silica gel for absorbing the oxidation products within the conservator, the bags () being restrained in the compartment () by means of a plastic mesh (); the swimmer () thereby reduces the contact surface of the oil bath () with the atmospheric air to some side interstices () having a width of a few millimeters. |
