PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium transport device and a liquid jet device capable of smoothly taking out a medium in a jammed state from a transport path.SOLUTION: A medium transport device includes: a first storage unit 13 storing therein a roll body R around which a sheet S is rolled; a medium holding unit 22 provided in the first storage unit 13, and holding the roll body R; a guide unit 31 provided in the first storage unit 13, and guiding the sheet S fed from upstream to downstream from the roll body R held in the medium holding unit 22 to curved paths A1 and A2 along a winding direction of the roll body R. A first upstream guide member 32 and a first downstream guide member 34 constituting the guide unit 31 are displaceable between a first position at which the curved paths A1 and A2 are partitioned off from the medium holding unit 22 and a second position at which the curved paths A1 and A2 are not partitioned off from the medium holding unit 22. |
